Wistful feelings for Manson..

..upon hearing this song, Bottoms Up, by some guy named Trey Songz..OH! and I forgot to mention: "featuring Nicki Minaj"

Here's a sampling of their craft.

------

Yo, could I get that 'Tron?
Could I get that Remmy?
Could I get that Coke?
Could I get that Henny?
Could I get that margarita on the rock rock rocks?
Could I get that salt all around that rim rim rim rim?
Trey, I was like "Yo Trey"
Do you think you could buy me a bottle of Rose'?
Okay, lets get it now
I'm with a bad bitch he's with his friends
I don't say "Hi", I say "Keys to the Benz"
Keys to the Benz? Keys to the Benz!
Muhfuckin right yeah, weed to the 10
If a bitch try to get cute Imma sock her
Throw a lotta money at her then yell fucka, fucka, fucka,
Then yell fucka.
Then Imma go get my Louisville Slugger
Excuse me, I'm sorry, I'm really such a lady
I rep Young Money
You know Slim, Baby?
And we be doin' donuts while we wavin' the .380
We give a lotta money to the babies out in Haiti
Yellin all around the world,
Do you hear me? Do you like my body?
Anna Nicki
Rest in peace to Anna Nicole Smith
Yes, my dear, you're so explosive
Say hi to Mary, Mary and Joseph
Now bottoms up and double my dosage

-------

Wasn't that delightful?

I particularly found it clever that in just 2 lines, manages to impress us all with his "donut-making" abilities while waving a gun around, which means he's driving with ONE HAND! One handed donuts, now that is impressive. Now I'm sure his bitch was blowing him at the same time, but I suppose even this Wordsworth has his limits. Now, to the next line. Money to Haiti? And LOTS of it as well? What a fucking hero, a national treasure more like it!
Yes, Trey has his less patient side, as demonstrated by his threat to get his Louisville Slugger, or a threat to sock a bitch for getting "cute" but don't be hatin' or something to that effect.

All sarcasm aside, this song makes me not only wistful for the days of Charlie Manson; when insanity was recognizable as insanity (not to mention his brilliant songsmanship), but the brilliant work of Van Halen. Well, let me explain; as you may or may not know, they wrote a song also called "BOTTOMS UP!" Though equally stupid and misogynistic, it is seemingly innocent in comparison to this guy Trey something-or-others song. To be totally without irony, or humor, and write so disingenuously about giving money to Haiti..AND YET! Make it high up the Billboard FUCKING CHARTS!

This segues nicely into some George Carlin
